Background. I'm working on my 2008 e90 335i. After reading some diy n54 turbo.

I wouldn't bother with a tune. The unfinished 335i back on the streets much more to do but will kill it when its done. The 2011 bmw 335i has the twin scroll turbo with the n55 engine and it is suppose to be much more reliable.
And feels more nimble at lower speeds.
