Download 2007 Bmw 335I Oil Pan Bolt Torque Spec Background. The bolts holding up the oil pan are single use aluminum stretch screws which must be changed. To give you an idea my local bmw dealer wanted $925 to change it (and the as i posted before, i bought 4 bolts and today i replaced those 4 red arrows one.
Anyone know the torque spec for the drain plug (metal pan) ?
The bolts through the pan into the iron block are 37 ft/lbs. My plan for the replacement is to use permatex to. With my oil pan bolts, i tighten until snug, then usually give it an 1/8 turn more. I'd like to torque them properly after changing pads.
