What determines how much torque to use on your lug nuts?

I just purchased a set of oem locking lug nuts ($117.00 at the dealer) for my bs and sl55. I had the car serviced at bmw recently and i'm wondering if they just put the wheels on. Wheel lug nut torque specifications retighten the lug nuts to the specified torque within 100 miles (160 km) after any wheel disturbance (rotation, flat tire, wheel removal, etc.).
I don't know for sure on the f15, but every other bmw i've owned or still own is 88 ft/lbs.
Does anyone know the torque spec for 2011 mdx lug nuts? Wheel lug nut torque specifications retighten the lug nuts to the specified torque within 100 miles (160 km) after any wheel disturbance (rotation, flat tire, wheel removal, etc.). It has a second torque spec which is 72 ft lb. I had the car serviced at bmw recently and i'm wondering if they just put the wheels on.
