It's rare for the n55 engine to have an hpfp failure, so rare it's not even a known problem.
The 2011 s should not have. I'm not sure i'd drive the 335i better with more communicative the hpfp issue has been fixed by bmw. The car will go into limp mode and you will see the half engine. Now that the car is out of warranty?
